Quit Smoking Laser Therapy
What Is Laser Therapy?
Quit smoking laser therapy is essentially a high-tech way of doing acupuncture. Acupuncture is a thousands year old Chinese therapy used in the treatment of a multitude of diseases and conditions. With acupuncture, you stick very small needles into points of the body through which energy (or Chi) is flowing. The basic idea behind acupuncture therapy is disease occurs because the energy in our body gets blocked. Acupuncture is designed to unblock this flow. So, acupuncture helps energy pass easily through our body, which results in healing. Acupuncture can also be used to reduce tension and relax the body and mind. It is in this capacity that quit smoking laser therapy is used. Laser therapy is a high-tech way of doing acupuncture without the needles. It appeals to people because it’s non-invasive. You don’t have to be stuck by a needle. So, there’s no possibility of pain with laser therapy. Also, the skin is not broken. Laser therapy is done with what are called “cold”, low-level lasers. Unlike lasers used in surgery to remove things like tumors, the low-level lasers used in quit smoking laser therapy cannot burn or cut you. They can only stimulate your body. How Does Laser Therapy Help You Quit Smoking?
Laser therapy is supposed to stimulate your body to produce hormones called endorphins. Endorphins are naturally occurring hormones in our bodies that influence how we feel. Exercise, for instance, creates an increase in endorphins. This is one of the reasons exercise makes you feel so much better. By stimulating your body to create more endorphins, laser quit smoking therapy decreases your urge to smoke. In other words, the laser therapy makes you feel better, and if you feel better, you’re less likely to smoke. Does Laser Therapy Work?
Clinics that do this sort of therapy report success with it. I don’t currently know of any real, properly conducted studies that have shown definitively that laser therapy works, however. I’m not saying it doesn’t work, either. It’s often the case with non-mainstream therapies that you hear of positive results before true clinical studies are done. So, it might be that laser therapy does work. Here's a website where you can learn more about

It’s not inexpensive, however. You’re probably looking at a few hundred dollars for your first treatment. But look at how much you’re already spending on cigarettes! My advice would be to consider laser therapy as a possibility. Talk with some clinics that offer it. Talk with your doctor. If possible, talk with some people who’ve had laser therapy and see what their results are. If you don’t know of anybody, check out forums and groups on the Internet and see if you can find anyone who has had laser therapy and see what their experience was with it.
